However interesting Ms Vinita's "contribution" might sound, but such suggestions in my opinion should have basic medical opinions support. The suggested dose cannot be applied to one and all. I say this because different people react to different doses of Calcium. Arthritis calls for different Calcium dose and a person after knee surgery would be prescribed another dose......and all these are not related to age either........ I fear, Ms Vinita's prescription might lead to ..............hope you can imagine what I want to say...... more
Calcium tablets are not needed if one eats healthy food sourced from plants and excludes all oils, sugar, dairy & meat more
It could have been better to share the source of calcium other then medicine more
Yes, Mr. Arora . If we are advised to take Calcusium Tablets, we should take the Calcium teblets which also contain Vitamin D. more
Calcium is primarily required for the bones and to a small extent for other critical functions. A large part of the population tends to be deficient in vitamin D which helps move calcium to the bones and not let it deposit in undesirable places such as the arteries, in kidneys as stones, etc. Any increase in calcium intake should be undertaken with a doctor's advice / supervision. more
