Can CIC be biased? Is it possible?
I have been raising a RTI since last more than two years against Delhi Police. Delhi Police have been supplying false information and some of the crucial information which could have substantiated the claims of a possible nexus, have been suppressed by Delhi Police. There was a hearing before CIC wherein I could beyond reasonable doubt prove that Delhi Police is supplying false information and have been suppressing information of crucial nature. I concluded my view point with a request to direct Delhi Police to state the facts on an affidavit. Delhi Police refused to supply the statement of information on Affidavit. Surprisingly the CIC order does not specify such request made by me as an Appellant. What could be the reason of suppression of such statements of the Appellant by CIC. Could it be possible CIC being biased. I do not believe but it is also a fact that it is a real based factual statement of mine. I am planning to bring details of my RTI application, PIO responses and CIC orders viz.-a- viz appeal before CIC on a public domain. Any view point of the members in the group? more

As per RTI Law, I believe, no authority can direct the Information Officer to furnish the information on sworn Affidavit. more

I have dealt with lot many matters, I believe the justice dispensation system even needs an overhaul. the Approach is quiet individualistic based on person officiating' education sensitiveness,experience qualification,empathy, antipathy,tastes prefernces, unfortunately mood etc. etc. So far I know when I have appeared before different CIC sometimes they favor the RTI query which in law could not be allowed or even not asked by applicant in its RTI . There were instances when I found that the CIC due to some personal work with department tries to read in between the lines, but over a period of time I with my caliber do not allow such things to happen. So far as the your peculiar case is concerned since details are not before us it shall not be right to say anything either on prejudice or the validity of the RTI Application under RTI ACT. more

Dear Mr. Ram Gopal, Discharge of responsibilities is the pre-requisite for asserting rights. My first responsibility is to raise voice against any wrong doing even if the experience is disgusting. We should not succumb to the pressures and keep on discharging responsibilities for asserting our rights without going in for peaceful sleep. more
