Can Delhi replicate Beijing

We need Central govt and Delhi govt to work together and make this happen. If Beijing can do it, Delhi must match it up. After all, we owe to our next generation. more

Was thinking of saying a big 'NO' - but my friends have already expressed the truth.... which we must accept..... With active support only at individual levels it could take another few decades before we start seeing any results.... more
Doubtful. We have mad people here. more
In China govt joins hand with local bodies , for upliftment. India is burdened by beurucrecies & inspector raj , in last 15 years china which was behind india in terms of development is now 100 years ahead of india. But we want to compare ourselves to pakistan , bangladesh & other small countries. more
No way. Neither we are autocratic or communists and neither our leaders or even the public itself is so commited more
In Delhi the aim of the politicians is to fill their own pockets and be in power for that by hook or crook. Delhi's water supply is in doll drums. Sever mixed water from rotten water pipes is being supplied Sever lines are choked There is loot in water and electric bills. Every now and than fixed charges are being asked in the bills. Even the consumers are being charged for the retirement benefits of retiring employees. Road maintenance is bad. Dust levels are very high. Still there is no solution of prali burning and winter smogs. Garbage mountains are rising. There is no policy for it. Bus service is inefficient and DTC in loss. BUT THE CM IS OFFERING FREE RIDES FOR WOMEN TO BE IN POWER AGAIN. FREE METRO RIDES WILL MAKE METRO ALSO INEFFICIENT AND LOSS MAKING. SOON WE WILL HAVE TO WRITE IT OFF. WE MAY HAVE TO GO TO DONKEY CART DAYS AT PAR WITH PAKISTAN. AS THE GOVERNANCE HAS A VERY SMALL WINDOW AND SMALL VISION OF 5 YEARS OF POWER, THERE IS NO LONG TERM PLANNING. SO NO DEVELOPMENT AT PAR WITH CHINA MAY BE POSSIBLE. more
