Can Mercedes be trusted
Mercedes disconnects Russian customers. Punishes Mercedes owners.
They completely disconnected Russian dealers from its software. This software is needed to repair a Mercedes. Open software can Diagnose faults, but „pairing new parts to the car“ and updates of software faults in the car requires Mercedes Factory software.
Mercedes therefore decided that everyone who bought their car must be punished.
Would I buy a Mercedes while living in China or Iran? Would anyone buy a car where Mercedes punishes you for the actions of your government. The customer counts far less than international politics?
I think Mercedes deserves to shrink a bit. We all can decide not to buy a car that can no longer be serviced, because Mercedes and the German politicians „like to punish those who love the brand“. more

Collateral damage. Russian customers okayed Putin's actions? War over 500 days. This is part of sanctions. Putin approved the disconnect. Mercedes can be trusted. more

In a war you can kill them but you cannot make them go offline? Sarita your entitlement mentality is amazing! I think Mercedes would prefer not to do business with entitled people. more

I don't think it is entitlement mentality. It is called seller-customer relationship of trust. If a seller doesn't care for its customers due to its political leanings, then it deserves to be boycotted. Not that I can afford buying Mercedes! It is a principle I am stating. more

If customer does not come first, unless after sales service is not required at all(!!), my favorite brand Mercedes has to be boycotted, painfully_ more
