Can we do survey on charges on banks
Indian banking system is a loot and print media is hand in gloves. They dont write about issues people face.
Here is a first hand experience:
Wanted my SBI savings acc statement for last FY urgently.
Went to the branch to request for the statement as I didn’t have my YONO logged in (which I never use).
Asked them for acc statement’s physical copy, which they said it is ₹118 and I said okay.
Then I came to know it is just a 3 page copy and asked them to give me a soft copy on email which they said is also chargeable ie ₹118.
I asked them how can you charge for a soft copy, they said we have to download and give it to you and getting it from mobile banking is free.
I could get it printed for ₹15 outside if they had given me the soft copy.
Another thing to note is that they charge ₹118 for every 40 transactions which is insane.
I paid ₹236 for a 3 page statement.
This is open loot by the banks. LC Manager must take up more

There are Charges for every thing in SBI. Once I asked the email Statement from my Home Branch in my State as i stay in another state to give it to another Bank to transfer money. The New Bank said, the Bank stamp required on the Statement and requested me to go any SBI Br and get it stamped. When i visited the Br, the Officer refused to stamp and told me , their process is different as i have to check in my system and give statement from here and there will be charges for that. If you are depositing money at CDM without using Debit Card (Card Less) that also chargeable. Charges with GST in some cases for every thing and service is not that good more

I have visited Pnb bank for housing loan statements and ROI. I asked him why and no any previous intimation increased ROI. Now he is charging 11.50 % ROI. Initially it was 9.40% I asked many questions but answer was zero. more

shailesh, you can get your statement free by downloading online. Why go to the Bank? I have not visited my Kotak bank for so many years. What for? more

Close your SBI account, they will ask you Rs.400 to close account. Banks, Insurance are scams in India. more
