Cancer Awareness

Is Indian cancer society and other cancer NGOs much active at all. Don't see any awareness activity from them. Mr. Raja Chandra and others share great info but the so called cancer orgs seems to be not so active. more

Yes, I do agree that Indian Cancer Society is doing nothing for the common person suffering from cancer or to spread awareness about cancer or to prevent the occurring of caner. more

I agree. The ICS and other NGOs need to be more visible in spreading their message more

Dear Yash, Please go to ICS website & FB page. We are caught up in the daily work of cancer control. In 2014-15, ICS conducted 129 Awareness Talks in various schools, colleges, offices & community areas which were observed by around 10509 persons, held 165 Screening Camps for 8471 persons in Delhi & NCR. Our survivor Volunteers visited 6010 patients in 10 Hospitals in Delhi NCR. We helped 60 patients with financial assistance, worked with NDTV on raising & distributing funds to children with Cancer.
