Car leased Pre GST

we have a company leased car which was taken pre GST in may 2017 , after introduction of GST lease rentals are taxed at 50% , but we did not avail any input credit as it was pre gst so car rentals increased by 45% as UP vat was 5% on rentals . govt did abatement on 13th OCT 17 and reduced the GST on car leased pre GST to 65% of 50% but still we are paying around 28.5 % extra and this 28.5 % extra is on car cost + all excise and VAT paid during PRE-GST regime so rentals have jumped sharply from 67000 to 84000 per month , GST council is not listening whats the way ahead more

Dear Anirudh Avail ITC and reduce your cost. If not taken for JUly to December, please avail now during the month of March more
My views on the subject are similar to what Shri Sanjeev Goel has expressed. Practically there is no difference between VAt and GST as both has input tax credit. GST is just a combination of few duties and taxes included. Now the tax structure has to be on the date of transactions. Once GST is introduced, the tax structure post implementation has to be GST and practically there is no pre-GST purchase. From your post, it gets substantiated that cost have been increased post GST period which is on the contrary to what Govt of India has been befooling the citizens by saying Good and Sweet Tax and saying that a poor person has written a letter that the prices would come down. more
Is there any sense with Modi and Jaitely ministers. They are money suckers, next time I won't vote for them more
First of all let me apologise my mistake in addressing the name of Sri Sachan who brought up the point of concern to one and all. Thanks to him. It appears to me FUNNY. Implementing Authorities do not comply with the rules and regulations and the common citizens get the penalty for that. Why job of such authorities is not terminated with immediate effect. Why common citizen should represent against the laxity of authorities. What for the Government is collecting money and not ensuring compliance by the Authorities. Are we still living in British Era? Are the Assessing Authorities not the part of Human Society? Are the Governing people not the part of our society? What is making all of us fail in every day life? Uprooting such people from the society is needed if they do not behave responsibly. more
Dear Sachin, My lesson learnt is that the current government believes in Super Capitalism. Citizens have to accept the brunt of it particularly by virtue of enhanced and high tax liability. One more effort is visible. Pre GST business people were making money in selling the products alone and now they have been compelled to extract more money from consumers/common citizens as they need to share with Government through GST. Now I need to understand what definition I should consider for Capitalism. It is already known in the world that India has one of the highest tax paying citizens. more
Dear Shishir Kant ji nothing has been changed in business procedures after implementation of GST. In pre GST regime business people were paying Excise, Customs and Service Tax and VAT and CST to the government by manufacturing and selling their products. Now in GST regime business people are paying Customs and GST to the government. Its business people who are making consumer fool by enhancing their product cost in the name of GST. No business person has given the benefit of VAT paid by him in pre GST regime to the customer after implementation of GST while the government had strictly said that the VAT paid will be reversed to the customer as the benefit of VAT paid by business persons will be reimbursed to the business persons by the government but business persons earned profit by claiming VAT from government and charging VAT from customers. more
The Govt. Do not accept accountability automatically unless put up in writting that too addressed to proper comepetent authrity. They still need favours to listen to you. If they don't , you have go to court for it's redressal. So implementing authorities don't act as per law but implement it bits and pieces. The accountability is lacking with intentional laxity. more
