Care of stranded tourists and pilgrims

The circle members are silent about stranded tourists and pilgrims who could not reach their home town/residence due to sudden lockdown in the country. Many of tourists and pilgrims including senior citizens who undertook journey by flight (one stop) on 24.03.2020 to reach their residence, could not succeed due sudden cancellation of flights at one stop airport. i.e Hyderabad- Bhubaneswar. Similarly, many tourists and pilgrims including senior citizens with conformed train tickets stranded on their way and couldd not reach their residence due to sudden lockdown. This should be taken care of by both the Central and State Governments. It should not be stopped merely on the ground of increased COVID-19 cases in the country. more

The issue should draw immediate attention of both the central and state governments and a special arrangement be made for such stranded people. more
The plight of passengers and more particularly the Sr. citizens are very pathetic, due to sudden lock down with very limited days. More than 47 days have passed and passengers or pilgrims are hard pressed. The solution seems to be distance, due to increase number of VoVID 19 affected people, increasing day by day. Apart from Sramik express, some arrangements to be done to stranded passengers. more
They should be helped at all costs more
Unfortunately, after the central government declared a lockdown, both central & state governments and local authorities did not bother about the plight of daily wagers, migrant labour, stranded persons, farmers including those growing perishable goods like flowers & vegetables, etc. It shows that a pandemic, which has been occurring again & again in many parts of the world, was not a part of disaster management protocol. High time it is included in it and emphasis is laid for public health care infrastructure. You cannot just depend on private sector health care system. Did any one know who is the health minister in center and states? Only now, we come to know the name. Same is the case of the agriculture ministers. This has been the importance attached to these ministries. Politicians want ministries like home, finance, Public works, industry, etc and every one knows why they are sought after. more
It is very true that running some trains to get back the people stranded in other states of India is as important as that for poor migrants. But posting in this forum would hardly work out. Various state governments and central govt. should be approached for this. more
