Carpel tunnel syndrome
I am suffering from carpel tunnel since last many years.I got the surgery done for my left hand 10 years back and had some relief. Now again i am having trouble since last few months in the same hand. Please advise me if surgery is the only option or some physiotherapy can work. I am unable to twist my thumb and can not make a pinch with index finger thus unable to perform many functions. I am a left hander and a housewife. more

My mother(71) who is in Kolkata is suffering from acute sciatic pain. We tried to give aceclofenac which caused stopping of urination for 5/6 hours. She is so badly suffering that she cannot go out for Xray. Can anyone suggest any harm less pain killer? more

ms chhaya, there r some local causes of carpel tunnel and some systemic causes, one thing imp. u said that u were never completly relieved of the symptoms , which is rather unusual after correct and good surgery, you have to get eveluated for any systemic cause causing it to reoccur, there is definately a very good results with specialized physiotherapy , and sports taping , u need clinical evaluation , and some investigation to plan your treatment. more
