Cashless Transaction

I received a mail stating how the Railways is against the Cashless economy that the Government of India is promoting.
However when i clicked upon the link I found that the post has been deleted.
Why so?
So only those posts that are favourable to the Ministy of Railways are allowed to be posted?
Any unfavourable posts are deleted? more

IRCTC service charge should be waived off,so that people can prefer cash less transfer more
I have a point to make here. The Point Of Sale where there is a profit involved with the recipient or vendor, they always bear he bank charges for accepting the Debit or Credit Cards, a few banks have also waived these charges on IRCTC Booking by NET BANKING. The passenger will only go cashless if he is not charged for spending his own cash. I don't want to pay 10 or 20 rupees extra for the ticket which can be bought from the booking window and also save the IRCTC SVS charges. The IRCTC is making more than the said amount by not refunding the svs charges when the tickets are cancelled so the actual loss is not what they talk about and should have an arrangement with all the payment gateways to debit IRCTC rather than the passengers to get more cashless transaction. One can't make only profit. IRCTC is a commercial set up and has to behave like a profit-making trader, rather than show off like an NGO obliging us by booking our tickets. Just imagine the interest they make on the advance bookings where passengers book tickets for over 90 days, when on the actual travel date there is no assurance from the IRCTC nor the INDIAN RAILWAYS to run the train. more
I concur with the views of Mr. Chitale. There is cost for everything. The Modi Govt never said that you do cashless transaction and don't bear the costs. As incentive to encourage cashless transactions, Modi Govt has temporarily waived certain charges but that does not mean those will not be re-introduced. Railway Ministry also has never commented on this. One has to pay the cashless transaction charges. The Debit cards are charged by the Banks. The vendors also charge for use of debit cards at certain points of sale. Credit cards are also charged yearly charges for the holders and some percentage for the vendors. When vendors feel that it is not economical for them, they charge the same back to the card holders. In short, the card holders are taken for ride be it credit or debit card or any other payment gateways. Cashless means more expense. more
I could not find Mr. Bharat Lal 's post. Service charge not levied. But, Payment gateway charges of Re 11.50 per tkt is levied. Hope Govt takes care of this issue. more
I think an upright citizen must realise there is cost to everything. Charging costs on credit/ debit card transactions, in right sense, does not mean Railways are against Digital Payments. Let pain area be addressed. Real problem is Railway ticketing ap routes our card transactions through "Paytm" gateway. On cancellation of ticket, Money is put into "Paytm" bank. This bank has not refunded ticket money to my source account for weeks. IRCTC cared two hoots and Paytm said quote wallet no. It was only when I wrote to Mr Prabhu, my two cancellations' money was credited to source bank. Third cancellation money is still with Paytm since Dec-16 , because I have not written to Prabhu. I wont be surprised if this emerges as scam. more
