Caste based reservation
Caste based reservation has been in existence ever since India became republic. But backward castes continue to be backward as benefits of reservation are being cornered by only a select few. It is unlikely to change even in the next 70 years.
The solution lies better distribution of benefits. Some suggestions:
1. There is need for family income based Quota within Quota -
family income of 0 - 5 lakh p.a. - 60% of the respective quota
family income of 5-10 lakh p.a.- 30% of the respective quota
family income of 10-15 lakh - 10% of the respective quota
No reservation for above 15 L. This should be for each category i.e. SC/ST and OBC.
2. Maximum two successful chances throughout the life time, particularly in over 10 L bracket, and 3 for 5 L bracket
3. No dilution in the Eligibility criteria for 10 L bracket
4. No dilution in qualifying standards
This is not the panacea but an attempt to improve spread of benefits.. more

Change this thinking that they need reservation to get ahead. They need job training, guidance and self help in getting ahead. Where does it say that a class that refuse to help themselves need government and tax payer money from birth to death. Stop reservation that is what keeps them in this condition of dependence. more

Cast based reservation or any sort of reservation in job or education or public representation is injurious to country's economy and progress. the concept of reservation is based on very wrong concept that everybody can't get employment. the concept of employment is ill conceived . each and every individual must get employment commensurable to his/her ability. it is available , otherwise how persons coming from other countries illegally, get job here? but the problem is employing a less capable person by debarring a deserving candidate. this results in loss of productivity, thus loss of employment potential. only politicians, some community parasite leaders and a few family get the benefits at the cost of heavy damage to national economy, growth and social harmony. more

RSERVATIONS WERE ON PAPER TILL 1975 AND EVEN FOR CLERICAL posts with SSLC or High school posts were never filled and mostly dereserved to fiull by OCs such was the mentality of officers of OCs.Later there was some improvement.Even today no dept is having 15% posts filled from top to bottom for sc and 7.5% for ST which were origionally given.Now for OBC also same postion. Coming to same family getting reservations again and again govt can put restrictions andd also SAY THAT THOSE PEOPLE R NOT SCHEDULED CASTES R TRIBES and should be CLASSIFIED AS OC,Then automatically it wil, stop there so also HIS CASTE TAG more

S.C. in 70s confined that Reserved Category Posts not to be filled with O.C. because the requisite No. of Candidates are not Qualified in Written Tests/Interviews.
After that, many Governments opted simply the Qualification Certificate for various Jobs under Reserved Category. The lapse in the requisite knowledge of the Post held has become irksome and since 1 decade, many Governments are not filling their Vacancies for which the reasons are 2 . One is this issue, and the [2nd] is lack of Funds since ruling parties preferring freebees, subsidies, grants, reliefs etc., etc., where maximum Funds are getting diverted besides the VERY INCREASING PENSION ETC.,
UNJUSTIFIED Neglect of Governments in providing Schools, Junior Colleges, Degree Colleges in terms of increase in the Population while Swindling Funds of PDS and various other Government Subsidies etc., staged the Status of States Economically inadequate to EDUCATE THEIR OWN VOTERS AND THIS HAD RESULTED IN SERIOUS rigor and rivalry with the whole issue of Reservations .
The Governments' s gross neglect and set aside of Supreme Court Judgement of 1963 in eliminating economical status of Creamy Layer reviewing periodically ; and , the reiterated Judgment of 1985 once again by the S.C. BY THE CONGRESS Rulers and their Allies had driven the innocent Citizen still strive .
All the Constitutional Bodies are still not realizing the Poverty Statistics and the Illiteracy Statistics of 2011 AND IS THE PITIABLE STATUS OF 1st and 2nd GENERATIONS OF OUR FREEDOM FIGHTERS THAT SACRIFIED their wealth, health, time and even Souls . more
