Cattle menace on highways and bad toll roads

Travelling in Rajasthan on Western Peripheral Express way (Baran-Kota) and Kota-Tonk-Jaipur(NH52) suffer from two problems-toll is charged though roads are terrible.Secondly, but equally important is the cattle menace.Police+NHAI must impound them and levy heavy fines for release. It has become dangerous to travel on the highways. This must be addressed asap more

To levy toll tax is a political expedient to benefit favoured individuals who contribute towards party funds. We give taxes of all kinds to create and sustain public services. Roads are one of them then why should we pay toll ? It appears that the 'Chungi' of the past has now been replaced by this system. To avoid paying toll trucks/busses/cars etc have started taking to village roads to by pass. As for the cattle nuisance; wild animals crossing the roads are signs of natural health of a land but strays are indicative of a society which is imbalanced in their beliefs and practices. If the Cow is our 'mata' then the stray bulls and heifers are our baap, Mama & bhai . Therefore why not look after them as reverently as the mother? more

Yes but you can always give your driver the soft copy of documents. You can download on his mobile...now every body has a smart phone and he can show this to traffic police in case need arises. Please tell me why we Indians when we travel abroad then we follow their rules be it road crossing, driving , cleanliness etc. etc. and then we come back then we break our countries rules, we litter around and voilate traffic rule. Why these double standards?? Is govt. to be blamed for this. We need to start from somewhere..We only understand harsh rules. People chewing paan and spitting on roads.. what you call them and same way when they travel abroad they dont spit here and there. Let us learn this the hard way. Thanks more
Do you think Indians with the pittances they earn need to learn the hard way??Please!!How much harder do you want the yoke (pardon the cattle pun) to come down on the middle class?? more
Please correct me if I am wrong, but is the driver not meant to be carrying the original RC?And i=according to those ridiculous changes, are the only acceptable soft copies on the owner's DIGILOCKER? Laws cannot be put out without consultation and to create fear more
Absolutely. more
Agreed to what you are saying but a person who can buy a 60000/ bike cannot afford to take insurance worth 6-7000 rupees or take driving licence for 1500 rupees..valid for 10 years. A helmet for 8-1000 rupees.
Also if they have the helmet then they dont wear it instead hang in their hands. Is this for their own safty or for the govt. safty... Why cannt we abide by the rules?? Why do we have to have strict punishment to mend our ways. Also people give their cars, bikes and mostly scooty to their minor kids.. what is your take on this??? Why cannt we control this???? more
