CBI versus CBI

It is unfortunate that Indian Premier investigating agency, CBI, is mired in controversy. Allegations and counter allegations have been made by and against its top officials. The CBI has booked its Special Director over allegations of bribe and the Special Director has accused his boss, the Director, indulged in series of corruption acts. It must not be avoided by simply saying the ego clash of two officials as it has not only tarnished the image of the Premier Institution of our Country but it has been forced to touch the lowest level ever. This matter is related to the corruption in that agency which investigates the corruption related matters of powerful people of the country. The present situations reminds us the note of The Supreme Court in 2013 by saying it a 'caged Parrot', it is not only a caged parrot but also a sick parrot. If something such happens in political circles we, the public, start screaming that the people/politicians involved must resign their positions on moral grounds should it not be with these senior officers. If if such not happens The CVC, the statutory body that exercises superintendence over the functioning of CBI or the DOPT headed by The Prime Minister of India should sack these officers. We, the citizens of India should always raise voice against such acts and such messages should also be made viral on social media to keep the image our country at respectable levels. more

This episode is bad in taste. This shows element of lacuna in such a high office. more
Nothing happened to CBI as an institutution. It is a case of individual employees getting greedy or mis-using their positions. Strongly believe Alok Verma is the culprit & court will soon find him unfit for that position. Alok Verma is protecting the Khangress goons, when he is getting salary from public money, atleast he should be sincere, honest & maintained the integrity. The truth will be out for this person Alok Verma seems to have highest political backing from Khangress for his plea is prepared well in advance & all moves are well calibrated & moved with lightning speed unlike Mr. Asthana who seems to be a sincere officer. Anyway it is time for truth & court will find Mr. Alok verma as guilty. more

Ofcourse it is common policy of party in power to blame the opposition for corruption and would at times indulge in a drama/act to fix the members of ruling party. Just as BJP used to shout "BOFORS" all the time till they came to power...now Congress has the chance to shout: "Rafale". Every party coming to power came with intention to Loot common people and fill its kitty. Some worked 25% for poor and 25% for common public pocketing 50%. Now equation changes with new Government in power and their own priorities to fill their empty coffers. more
