CCTV project of Delhi - privacy issues

Delhi Chief Minister announced today that CCTV installations will begin from June 7. More than a 1.40 lakh cameras and it says data will be stored and shared with RWAs and Market Associations.

How can we do this without no data protection norms or safeguards??

I suggest Home Ministry is activated to look into this? Access can be with police, Delhi state home dept hut not with RWA president and market assocition presidents. Major misuse can happen. Attached order. more

This guy Kejriwal is an intelligent fool. he knows how to fool the public of Delhi too. He was supposed to have installed these CCTV Cameras 3 years ago. But then he got busy giving FREE Power and FREE Water to people of Delhi, That was much easier... nothing to be done except to make a stupid announcement. But I guess the Public of Delhi can be fooled ALL THE TIME. more

Projects were blocked by LG (Political interference by Centre). If Delhi gets full statehod then you see the speed with which he will implement more

good to have CCTV for security reason at the public places but without implementing process for data protection it will be a great security lapses. Delhi Govt. after four year of adopting nothing to do policy,now active on several projects without a good planning. more
