Cellular services in India

I have earlier brought to the notice of local circle members the fact that messages from service providers can't be saved in our mobiles.
All service providers give a message after each call or session of data usage, showing the balance amount or time (minutes or seconds) or data used and balance data available.
But these messages can not be saved. I found, many time that credit balance, after last call of a day is reduced when opening next day.ie closing balance and open balance of next day is different.
Feeling foul play, I have noted down credit balance after each call/session for a few days. Surprisingly it was noted that credit balance is decreased with out call or data usage.
But we have no record to prove that we didn't call or use data. So compelled to pay for unused voice or data.
I have taken up the matter with TRAI and Ministry of Communication, but with out any success.
I may request the members to bring out such cases, if you had such experiences.
Also please note down your usage, with time and date, for a few days and file complaint wherever possible.
In order to prevent these types of fraud, I suggest that service provider message should be made savable, as other messages. more

There must be a VAS activated in your mobile. You may not have done that but they so. Check your VAS. more
This is actually the way they make us fool. Between 18th to 20th February I was in Gurgaon, reliance deducted Rs. 1.50/ minutes irrespective of seconds where as per plan they should charge me 1.2 p/Sec. When I called to customer care the plan is for home network which I know he is telling me wrong. On 20th night I landed in Bangalore n call rate was perfectly fine. more
Articulately of VODAFONE and IDEA this problem Prevails AND apart from this in a year you will receive couple of BILLS exorbitantly high than your Usual / Regular Bills. As there is no remedy available every customer get ridded. TRAI to be represented for arranging the mechanism for immediate relief. more
I have experienced another problem. The clock in the mobile hand set starts much before the actual conversation and the message from the service provider shows call time some times upto TWO seconds more than the hand set. Now such an over timing easily takes you scall time to next slab. Many times I immediately took up the matter with the call centre who have simple excuse that the system takes extra time to disconnect the call. Not the one to give up and with some experience I will first ask the call centre executive to confirm his name and request him to not to disconnect call and if I am not satisfied, I should be connected to his boss. On top of that, they also charge Rs 0.50 for every three minutes for speaking to their call centre executive. I will also extract the promise from them that these charges will also not be deducted from my account. You do it for few times and they start behaving. more
I too have such experience, in which, my phone balance was reduced although my phone was not in use. It was switched off and stored in my bag. But with another service provider, (in another phone) I never had any problem. TRAI must keep watch in such cases and make such companies to refund the amount to subscriber. more
