Cera - taps - Do they actually know what is mixer tap

Couple of months back I had purchased Cera taps for 3 mixer taps, 3 sink taps and 3 2 in 1 tap for my bathrooms. After installing I was shocked to see the performance of those taps. I will list out the problem I faced.

The quantity of water which comes from the mixer tap is very less ie, if you want to fill a bucket it will take more time
Water does not stop once you turn it off. Drops of water keep falling for some time
So I complained and one person came and checked everything and said this is how this tap works. He put me on to his boss and he instead of attending to my problem started lecturing me about saving water, that is the motto, that is why the flow is less..etc etc.... And later he says that I was suppose to buy different tap where the water flow is normal
When I asked the person who came about my second problem he is telling water in the pipe will come out.
Seriously..... Can you believe that.... When you go to buy a tap do you ask about the flow, and other details. The show room where I bought didn't know about this. Intact he gave me the technical heads name and no. To contact.

The earlier tap Jaqguar didn't had any of these problems. It was 20 years old and I thought I wanted a different look for my bath rooms. They didn't had different designs. So instead of buying the same one I thought I will go with Cera, as the designs were different and nice looking.

Even my sister who bought one set had the same problem. So what she did was remove the end cap and keep a broader bucket.

My questions to the Cera company is, why they have made such problematic faucets, where there is problem with the flow and as well as droplets after closure.
I have paid a huge amount to buy a problematic tap

Is this not a cheating from Cera company that they are not making standard taps without any problem. Can someone address my problem. All three bath rooms have same problem but the sink taps works fine. That means they don't know to make a proper mixer tap.
So what should I do after spending so much on these taps. more

Taps today use a "Spindle" and this has replaced washers. Spindles are generally sourced from China, and very few make it in India. Also Chinese spindles are far cheaper than Indian ones, and probably better quality. If you want a tap with a washer, go for the older designs with a rod top and this will have a washer. BTW, washers are now not kept in most sanitaryware shops because in metros, no one has old taps any longer. But if you visit a shop near a slum, you will be able to get the washer. more
Any action taken by CERA more
CERA tells water saving, but while doing so lots of time is wasted, waiting water to be filled in the bucket. Time is very precious. This is fine when used in public places but not in HOUSE, where all the members are conscious of water saving. This is very painful when one is used to take cold water bath every day. Hope CERA will replace the taps in your house ASAP. more
Yes even I am waiting . But.... more
If used in public places, tap will be broken as per our own patience more
While I agree with you on the difficulties, sometimes the pipes would be clogged too. GI pipes can have lots of detached iron filings and solids and they can cause flow obstruction. Second culprit is the plastic hose that connects Sink tap to water line. But Tapas Chatterjee is right, if it is a water saving tap, it will frustrate you so much that you will end up using less water! I have seen them getting choked up. In general, the pipe fittings are of very poor quality. I got this Jaquar tap for kitchen and in a week it started dripping. The washer was damaged and they don't sell washers anymore. Entire brass mechanism needs to be bought at 300/-. What was possible with 5/- now costs 300/- and wastes a lot of materials (brass, o rings etc.) PVC pipes are easy to use and more easy to break. It is a mess out there. NO standardization out there. May be you must approach consumer forum. more
No. The flow is fine in all the sinks then I am sure there is no blockage in the pipe. Jaguar tap absolutely no problem. My kitchen sink tap is working without any problem for past 18 years. Even bath room taps were fine. more
Right, even the tap mesh will be blocked if TDS is more than say 300 more
IT is fault of Cera company who manufacture the tap. Govt has not made any direction to the industries to manufacture taps with small/less flow. more
Yes I agree as Jaguar taps does not have this problem. But.... more
