Challenges with Police - Citizen Pulse
In most parts of India, good, law abiding, tax paying citizens want to simply stay away from the police. Most of them do not want to be an informer, collaborate or be involved in community policing efforts.
With this post we would like to seek your inputs on what are the various aspects of police and policing that worry you and make you refrain from any contact with police.

Police training is inadequate. They should be trained to protect the people and kindle patriotism and nationalism. Fist of all they should feel proud of themselves and the policing should be considered as a service more than a job for earning. They should be paid well so that quality can be increased by attracting better candidates. And of course, there should not be political interference - answerable to the citizens than the politicians. more
