Changed name of General Unreserved coach in Trains and their numbers
Point no 1 ---
Most of General unreserved coaches are being renamed as "Din dayalu coach" I could not understand why Railways has named these unreserved coaches . Only unreserved is enough . Any other word is not required . In Hindi din dayalu means to be for Poor coach . Railway want to categorize the citizens as poor and rich . If anyone travel through unreserved coach means he is poor ( Din ) and railway is offering Mercy ( daya) to the Citizen . If Railway has given name of any Political person , then it should not be given . This will make a trend . Keep it common name which will guide people only . Please do something in this direction .

Unreserved coaches are being minimized whereas there is requirement of increasing unreserved Coaches to facilitate service to Citizen . Railway is not a business . It is a service to Nation .
Please increase more General Coaches . This is minimum requirement of Public .

Din Dayalu" is insulting; it shows wrong attitude of Railway thus it considers all people travelling in such coach; Poor and Railways offer it as charity! Is it necessary to give a name to any coach? Just let it be general. Save your wisdon for something greater. more

Din Dayalu coach means it is a new type of general compartment with more facilities and ambience. To distinguish from old general compartment it is mentioned. I think so. more

what will happen if number of general coaches increased? do we have any idea how fast population is getting increased we have limited natural resources, limited land to land connectivity, 10 years back when somebody wanted to travel anywhere in india in short notice say in a day or next then tickets were easily available and that time number of trains were also less, but now days even tatkal tickets are hard cheese to get on most of the busy location throughout a year and at present we have more than 7000 passengers trains. The solution for every problem in today's era is the increasing population and if indian government does not follow the policy as adopted by chinese government then soon it will not be possible to travel in reserved coaches of trains(AC) because sleeper coaches are already occupied by wait listed and general ticket passengers due to corruption of TTE. I agree that railway is service to nation but what they can do if population is getting increased so quickly... more

Here is the point.!!!!!! if we produce too many children, which Govt. will be able to start those many trains for the new generation.So population control is the only remedy for the every problem!!!!!
Before 10 years we had a very innovative Railway Minister in the form of Mr.Lalu Prasad Yadav In his era, even , a really demanding passenger , was able to stand in the queue of TATKAL tickets before a Month.
The Mafias of Railways, called IRCTC and Agents/Software generators, removed such a good system, to churn money from the pockets of the passengers and start flexi fares/Suvidha exp. in the trains reservation system. more

I agree with the member who said train names should be imaginatively given. In Sri Lanka which has a limited network the train to Galle running close to seacoast is named Samudradevi, train to Jaffna also known as Yazhppanam in Tamil is Yazhdevi ,(yazh in Tamil means Lyre)and trains to Kandy and gal oya are udarata menake and podi menake,big and small beauties. India always avoided person names even Gandhiji, tagore etc but used names relating to their works like sabarmati,sewagram, satyagraha.gitanjali chetak etc. Some exotic names I like are Deccan Queen, flying ranee, Himalayan Queen, himsagar,marudhar, etc and all river names. Only exceptions to personality names used are Tippu and Kittur Rani chennamma. When I was working with HEC Ranchi the agitation for jharkhand was still on a new train introduced between Ranchi and NDLS was named jharkhand express and an adivasi officer in our plant who later joined Congress and became MP revolted and name was withdrawn in next few days and restored only after State was formed. So, no to any person names please. more
