Charging above MRP
Sirs: I am a diabetic and need to replenish water and food at regular intervals. I was in Mumbai a few days ago and by afternoon I visited a small cafe called Kala Ghoda Cafe at fountain and had a bite to eat and ordered a small bottle of mineral water. To my surprise the management charged me Rs.100/- for a 500ml bottle of water. When I protested, they said it was in the menu card. I told them they cannot charge 900% more but they refused to listen. I have the bill with me. What can I do? Please guide and advise and I will take the necessary action. Thank you. more

You can't do anything but decide not to purchase drinking water from any restaurant & eating house in future. If you perforce to consume bottled water only, you better pick it up from any nearby daily need shop/general store prior to entering any restaurant and that way you can save your money from loot. more

Hope you have the Bill and the bottle with you. Why don't you send pictures to the mail id which Mr. Virmani suggested . Start a complaint and the others will follow. I don't get a chance to do this as I very rarely go to restaurants , but don't order for water as I always carry my water . more
