Only couple of days ago I went to a local multi-store for marketing. They didn't charge any GST or other taxes. More over they have allowed rebate on each item at least by 9% of the MRPs. GST was printed on the bills but the amount was shown as 'nil'. more

Previously it was mandetory to declare VAT TIN number while charging the VAT on every bill iself. I fail to understand why it is not compulssory to state the name of the selling agency & his GST registration number on every bill? This is a great loop hole to deceive the customers. 1. I request Department of Consumer Affairs to block this loop hole urgently & earnestly by swift action. OR else anybody will print the bills , charge GST to Consumers & will not deposit the GST in the Treasury/ banks. 2. It should be possible for law abiding sellers to authorise any bank to deposit their GST collections directly from their current / cash credit etc accounts without filling too many forms or standing in long ques at treasury or SBI branches. more
