This is regarding the false/unfair practices running by a consultancy/placement agency in Pune, Maharashtra. The firm is known as ‘Skiller’, located at Pervati, ‘Kumar Surbhi’ building, office No. 505, 5th Floor, Near Swargate, Pune. They SMS me and called regarding the job placement in different MNC’s in Pune based on my experience. I went there on 11/02/2020 and they said that your profile is selected for Amazon, Hinjewadi location. They assured, there will be only two rounds of interview and you will get selected. For this, they asked me to pay Rs. 2500.00 (Two Thousand Five Hundred) instantly. As assured by them, I paid the amount at that time only. I appeared for the interview rounds which were conducted in their office only. First was face to face and second was on call. After that, they said that I have got selected and you need to submit the documents (academic doc., salary slips of previous company and address proof) online. Once the documents will verify, you will get the offer letter. Then I asked them to show the email or text confirmation from the concerned company, as I have cleared their two rounds of interview, but they denied. Actually the interview was conducted by their one of the colleagues on phone. Thus, they were unable to show me any proof reflecting to the said company (Amazon). Then I asked them to return my amount but they denied. They ask me to call tomorrow, 12/02/2020, and they will transfer the amount. As per their assurance, I left their office and come back. When I called them on 12/02/2020, they refused to refund the amount. Then, I have to visit Swargate police station, Pune on 13/02/2020. Again I called them to refund my amount otherwise I will file a complaint against such practices. After this, they were asking me to come down to their office and get the refund in cash. They were claiming that the server of Google Pay and Phone Pay were down. But by looking at the heat of the moment, I denied. I asked them to transfer the amount after some time. They were continuously forcing me to come down to their office for this dispute, but I denied. I got 4-5 calls from different numbers. Followings are the details of the numbers: 1. Aman , a staff of the firm (Skiller), 99964 85893 2. Abu, firms’s head, 77092 07232 3. Unknown, he said he is from back office department, 91751 03209 4. Unknown, he said is another person who is linked with Skiller, 93560 30053 Please note, many individuals have filed their complaint against this firm (Skiller) on the various complain protals. I do not have the hard copy as they asked me to submit that in order to get the refund. I also have the audio clip of the discussion held in their office. Please take action against this firm as they are doing wrong practices. They are playing with candidate’s sentiments and emotions. I stay around 30 kms from their office location. They made me visit twice with no reason. I wasted my time and effort (two days) with no result and only harassed. more  

Ankit, keep that receipt of 1500/ securely. That will form basis for your complaint. You are entitled to raise your grievance in a consumer court of your area/ city. In consumer court you can represent yourself and present your case and evidence. You necessarily do not require a lawyer. more
