My 2 cheques were misused by an LIC agent in Tambaram , Tamil Nadu for about 2,20,000Rs. by diverting the cheques issued in favour of LIC of India. He has deposited (First cheque 1,50,000 Rs in Sep.2014& second one for Rs.60,000 in July 2015. I have made the complaint to the Sr.branch Manager, Tambaram and also the customer care officer in Mount road, Chennai. They say it may take time. Will I get the money back? Where can I lodge a complaint to expedite the process? more
Thanks Dr., it is our values and brought up and our education which helps us to be straightforward in life . But the way followed by some individuals remove your trust on others. I have seen many house maid servants, the ladies showing extreme decency and loyalty, even though they are less educated . We have some minimal bad elements in the society, who spoil the whole show. Only solution lies in bringing changes with the younger generations. more
I understand fully your predicament, Mr. Hussain Khan. I have personally undergone (still undergoing) such a torture due to the wicked ploy of a person who makes a big living only with cheating, sporting connections with polity and the powers that be, including direct invlovement of class I officials in the registration dept in the criminal act. The game of crime is still ON even after 22 years, with the state administration, courts and police doing pretty nothing to check such ever increasing white collar crimes! As they say, quid pro quo is the rule of the game manoevered by the polity of various hues at all levels; Unconnected common folk become easy targets. WE, THE PEOPLE HAVE TO BRING A RADICAL CHANGE TO THIS NASTY SYSTEM. Hopefully the so called Kalki Avathar is around the corner to help us in our concerted efforts to eradicate the very roots of all pervasive evils EARLY! Believe in God for justice someday soon; for heaven's sake DO NOT pay a rupee to anyone furthering the crime in the guise/garb of 'settling the issue', let it escalate! more
Thanks to all. God bless you all. I have given the written complaint against the particular agent to the Sr. Branch manager, LIC, Tambaram, Customer Relations Officer, Mount Road, LIC, and also sent a registered post to Mumbai Central Office. As the agent is well known to me for around 6 years and as I believed him, I was easily cheated by this man in diverting my money to some other policy by writing that policy number on the backside of my 2 cheques for 1,50, 000 Rs and for 61, 000Rs. I was told that third party cheques can't be used for more than 50,000Rs. Even though I am proud as an Indian, I feel shamed for such blacksheeps of our own society who loot others money and cause mental agony to the affected. Dr.Murugesan, as I was told by LIC officials that I can get the money lost but little later and it is time consuming. Regarding Police complaint, I will wait for some time as many advised me that I may have to lose a part in settling the issue. more
Should have checked the agent's PAN number on IRDA website, whether the agent genuinely works for LIC. As its too late, but get the details from bank where the cheques are cleared and to what account number they were being transferred to take action against them more
