Chinese App Bans
My brother took the time to study some of the chinese apps banned by the Govt this yearz In terms of permissions, many of these apps requested for device ID and call information, precise location, device and app history, photos, media and files, camera, storage (including permission to modify or delete the contents of your USB storage and read the contents of your USB storage), find accounts on the device, read contacts, view Wi-Fi connection, record audio, access download manager, download files without notification, receive data from Internet, connect and disconnect from Wi-Fi, full network access, send sticky broadcast, change system display settings, change network connectivity, modify system settings, view network connections, prevent device from sleeping, change your audio settings, control vibration, and draw over other apps.
This is way too much. All apps Indian or Chinese or American or doesnt matter what country if they ask for such info must be banned. In fact why do we need apps at all. Just make good old websites easy to use more

I am surprised that even though Bharat is considered to be the top brains of the world in making software for e-gadgets and feeding the world we still went and let the Chinese apps dominate our markets. It shows our gluttony for foreign goods. All things Chinese must be shunned by all of the world in order to teach this rogue nation of the perpetrator of Corona a lesson But surprisingly we and the world is still doing trade with them. more

What Govt. will Do in this case & will go up to what extent ? There is No responsibility of Citizens to take care of their gadgets ? The Gadgets peoples are seems to be more sophisticated & highly educated HINDIANS but loosing common sense. When Any apparatus which is not require for daily use why to download ? Fist question . Another If asking Your Personal information, STOP there & delete or stop the installation. It will solve the Problem . Maxm, peoples can circulate in their group to ban this app. It will help. Why to see every time to GOVT ? It is height of Freedom under the name of democracy. more

The extent to which these apps can access your information is frightening. As Mr Rajagopal has said any app which trespasses your privacy needs to be banned. more
