Circle Approach
Some of you have asked us about connecting station/area police to you and the overall approach with Surakshit Circles.
The national circle Surakshit Bharat - Safe India is for citizen participation in policy making for better law, order, police reforms etc.
State and City level circles are being established for local law/order matters. Soon, we will be writing to State, City District Police leadership requesting them to participate and get connected with citizens.
Once that is established, only then we will be looking at station level circle creation/mapping.
You are requested to call upon your district police commissioner and invite him to the respective circle.
We welcome your ideas in this regard and inputs on our approach.

The problem with our country is that of law enforcement capacity. Changing social and economic conditions has released the moral restraint that held our society together for centuries even in the worst of times. No amount of policing is going to provide us complete security. Nowhere in the world has it done so. The most feasible way out is community policing.Housing societies and mohallas should assume responsibility of the security of their respective areas. This is being done in some colonies in Lucknow to great satisfaction. more
