Welcome to all the new members who have just joined us. We are now 70,000 strong as a Citizen Community participating in Governance.

The two whitepapers under development include Corruption & Transparency and Curbing Price Rise/Inflation. The subject of Inputs for Budget 2014 is now closed. All members are requested to give inputs on the subject of Boosting Jobs and Economic Growth.

Any deliverables produced from circle discussions are submitted to the PMO and Ministries by Mr. Rajendra Pratap Gupta - Circle Founder and author of BJP 2014-2019 Manifesto.

Other individual circles for Constituencies and Ministries/Departments are still being evaluated. A pilot has been started in in Delhi/NCR with local circles for 11 constituencies with the idea of connecting citizens and elected representative.

Rail bookings the forthcoming budget should implement the following on ticket booking. 1. Senior citizen and other concessions should be available for tatkal bookings also. 2. Senior citizen age to be same for men and women at 60 and the percentage to be 70% for all. 3. Tatkal should be available five days in advance with increase in fare as the departure date nears. This will help return booking also and help railways to get more money that goes to touts and this. 4. Berths should be allotted while booking is made for the first ac also. This will help money spending elderly passengers to get lower birth instead of benefitting politicians. 5. While doing net booking money to be collected only after balloting the berth or seat so that one may not proceed further if the chosen berth or seat is not available. These changes do not involve big money but only change in programming. K.Natarajan. more
