Circle Working Approach
Some of the new members have asked this question so wanted to share our circle working approach with all.
Circle Objective:
To collect citizen inputs on priorities and subjects that matter to India and submit them as whitepapers to the PMO and related Ministries for action. Submitted whitepapers are available at: https://www.localcircles.com/a/index/core?thoughtleadership
Measuring Government Action:
I personally submit our circle whitepapers to PMO and Ministries. The best way to evaluate if our collective circle efforts are resulting in progress is to monitor/observe Government action. If the Government takes action, we will appreciate it and if they don't we would hold them accountable too. (The 100 day poll has suggested no or little engagement from MPs to their constituencies)
Vision:
1) Provide actionable whitepapers from collective citizens community to Government.
2) Create circles for every ministry enabling focused discussions and action. Railways and Consumer circles have already been started. More will follow soon.
3) Constituency local circles connecting citizens in the constituency with each other and with their elected MP.
Underlying Theme:
This circle is not a political circle. It is a governance circle and we encourage discussion/action on all subjects, regardless of the difficulty. Together we have done an excellent job by reviewing Electoral Funding, Black Money, Fighting Corruption, Women Safety, Price Rise and many other subjects that actually matter to the common citizen and to India. And, we want to encourage all perspectives including critical opinions.
New Subjects:
It is important to have a structured approach since we are almost 150,000 citizens in a virtual community. But, please feel free to post newer subjects. If there is enough interest from members, we will certainly put it on the list of subjects to be reviewed.
Thanks again for your participation.
