citizen wardens for reporting on 50-100 households of a locality

To encourage citizens participation in the safety and well being of urban citizens as well as rural areas,we can have wardens appointed for every 50-100 households who are concerned citizens with necessary communication capability.Such citizens must not be having criminal and objectionable background. It will go a long way if such wardens are identified and a trial programme initiated to find the pros and cons.Senior citizens could be the best for such assignments. If found successful the wardens can be given some nominal honorarium. more

first let us know what are the activities mohalla committees are to perform, community health centres per number of persons, internal road repairs and recarpeting, storm water/drainage, sewer, water pipelines and pressure proper meters, electric meters, neighbourhood markets-parking,public toilets, drop points for taxi, cars, richshaw, autos, cleanliness of roads, police picketing how many wardens per number of houses/persons, duties/responsibilities of wardens, budgets allocations and demands for budget to be raised based on works to be done/highlighted, more
Are we suggesting that RWA's have to take on this responsibility ? In Defence Colony RWA we are having members representing each Block. We are having 1500 Houses. For 100 Houses we are having one Member ( you may call them Citizen Wardens). The problem gets aggravated as each House has 4 Floors. Participation by more Residents is not feasible as they are not coming forward for active participation. In addition no RWA has infrastructure to handle such a huge load of Members. The AAP has suggested Mohalla Committees!!! How will they function is not known. We have to have a larger debate to carry forward this suggestion. more
It is a very good idea to have someone among ourselves more
He must be active enough to meet all the members of the 100 households personally with a keen eye on noting goodness as well notoriety in neighbourhood. more
