Civic sense basics every Indian should have
In my view the qualities below are a must :
1. Show respect to elderly and women and treat them likewise especially in public places and transport.
2. Respect the queue system and follow it everywhere.
3. Refrain from throwing waste around and make it a point to put it in waste bin wherever you are. During travel carry a waste bag and not litter in trains/buses etc.
4. Respect the law.
5. Use of public toilets instead of roadside (avoid defecating by road sides or in public places)
6. Avoid pan / tambaku spitting on walls or anywhere for that matter
7. Respect the signal system for transport, avoid unnecessary honking and avoid breaking any rules. more

Form a Local Circle in your city " PROFESSIONALS FOR CITY" .to replace politicians by Professionals in Civic Boy. Form groups of 4 to 10 persons in each ward and select a good well educated person to be the representative of that ward in next civic election. At present we don’t bother for Municipal elections, we just put our stamp on a candidate selected by Politicians. On the contrary people of the area should choose an honest well educated person and talk about him in your Ward. Let him contest and Win the election. When such persons will sit in Civic Body...you get answer to your concern. more
