Cleaniliness of railway stations is equally import
I would like to bring to your kind attention that ,most of the Indian railway platforms suffer from unclean ambiance due to sanitary problems and may lead to lot of cotangential diseases. Even after lot of advertising and educating people not to use toilets in stations even then we couldn’t avoid the same, hence whole station is piled with dirty smell and unhygienic place for station which could be even create a diseases by the flies, a headache for platform cleaners…..etc.
Hence there is a requirement to develop the alternate system to overcome the problem and prevent the unhygienic platforms.
The Basaveshwar Engineering College, Bagalkot is one of the leading technical educational institutes situated in the northern part of Karnataka. As you might be aware, it is a government aided institute of 52 years standing and is a lead institute of TEQIP of the world bank.
It gives me immense pleasure and pride to bring to your kind attention that the faculty members of our Institution Dr.Vinay Kuppast and myself have tried to find a solution to the most common sanitary nuisance (problem) of on board passenger trains. Sir given the opportunity the nature of the problem and the technical details of its solution will be presented before you.
The solution is developed with the noble aim of improving the traveling pleasure of Indian passengers. The project which costs approximately Rs. 50 lakhs for a 24 bogies train, if implemented will revolutionize the maintenance of clean surroundings at platforms. The following are its advantages
i). The power requirement is fulfilled by the existing battery
ii). Station becomes hygienic and healthy
iii). The cleaning efforts and cost involved in platform maintenance are reduced
The project got Karnataka State level award as a best project of the year in 2005.The project mentioned above is applied for Indian Patent No.102/CHE/2009
ON 15.01.2009
Sir, I have been writing this to many Railway ministers, railway officers since 2010.But unfortunately nobody responded.
Kindly consider the project implementation which we sincerely feel it will be a great contribution of Indian Railways towards the improvement of hygienic environment at railway platforms.
Thanking you
Yours sincerely
