We started Cleanliness drive in our area. We found that 20 % garbage littered on the roads is Gutka/Pan masala pouches, Mouth freshener wrappers . Government should either Ban Gutaka/Pan masala effectively or These items should not be sold in small pouches. They should be sold in bigger Tin packs which can be recycled. People who are addicted to Gutka/pan masala will get discouraged to buy these if sold in bigger tin packs which are difficult to carry in pockets. This will make sure that plastic pouches will not litter the roads. more

The Clean India Progbramme is the great start to keep our Nation as clean. Like Singapore, Oman, UAE and some other countries, Why not not India. Each & every one of Indian National  should come forward and clean their home, street and their area,by that method, all the places will be cleaned. It will be a motivation to the younger generation also. Keep up our India to be clean so that we can keep pride to the other peoples of the Nation. Avoiding Dust bins by collecting wastes by providing door to door garbage collection service definitely seems good which is already being practiced. But where do the strays go ? what will they strive on... how many of them are fed ??? We want to clean the places.... Make this EARTH a better place to live not only for us but also for other species.. but not clean the mongrels from the street. Early days we needed them for our security concern but today we don't need it today so have stayed them. Everyday most of them are hit on roads by vehicles or starved to death. As we are having large industrialization & apartment culture nowadays, if only each apartment & industries can adopt one of these darlings on streets as a security concern, the dog menace will come to an end. The cost of maintenance of each dog can be covered within the allocated maintenance fund collected as they have well adapted and have less health concern as compared to the pedigree breeds. Also we can ensure the proper maintenance of the dogs by making quarterly survey and again the cost for doing this can be well within the cost required to catching them, neutralize them. This idea if implemented can target two problems one is the dog menace and the spillage of garbage from trash bins by the stays in search of food." Cleanliness is next to Godliness" more
