E.g : If water bottles are sold at Rs.15 now at the Train stations, can well sell it at Rs.20. The 5 Rs can be collected when the bottle is returned to a machine/stall or could be returned in any stall and collect the balance 5 Rs. This might prevent people throwing up bottles since they feel it doesn't have any value. If we add value to the waste i feel people might value it and dispose it properly. more
Mr. Damodaran, only bottles with particular railway brand would be accepted for Rs. 5. If someone boards the train with several such bottles, no harm in paying them Rs. 5 for all of them. This would result in all such bottles getting collected in one place instead of creating garbage. more
The suggestion that on return of empty bottle a sum of Rs.5 may be paid to discourage passengers from throwing away and littering empty bottles is a good one. more
