CM .Pannerselvam's score board after 45 days

As he became the Chief Minister Mr. Pannerselvam had one big advantage that no one expected anything big from him. Therefore, he gets the benefit of being applauded for every small positive step he takes.

He has so far met five challenges and his score board looks interesting.

1. Vardha cyclone - He responded well and gets 75% marks
2. Krishna water to Tamil Nadu – Unlike his predecessor, did not mind travelling to meet the A P chief minister to request for water and was successful. He gets 80% marks
3. Farmers crisis - Responded very poorly in the beginning by remaining practically silent and then formed a committee and has given some cosmetic relief. No attempt to frame any firm long term plans to solve this issue which is bound to happen again due to global warming and consequent change in the monsoon conditions. He gets 40% marks
4. Jallikattu crisis - So far, handled the issue with dignity and went to Delhi to seek PM’s support which is well appreciated. The problem is not his creation and there are legal issues. However, he has failed to communicate with the people and agitators about the problem and what he wants to do. He gets 40% marks.
5. Challenge from Sasikala family - By reportedly falling on Sasikala’s feet, he has brought great damage to his reputation and personality. Gets 0 mark.

The workings of the present CM Mr. OPS, is very good. He is a team worker and delegates work and gets things done. This is a very good quality. He is a silent worker too. He has handled all issues well. He is no longer in the shadows. He will prove to be a very effective and good CM.I wish him all the best. If he sands for elections, people will return him as CM in the next elections also. The most important element a person at that level should have, is good rapport with other states and the centre, while safe guarding the interests of the home state. Mr. OPS has this quality. God bless him. more
Thank God if he is really not following the steps of Chinnamma? Thank Go If at all they need some ladies y not Deepa Jayalalitha? more
A Chief Minister should have the confidence of his cabinet and all the MLAs only then he can be a effective Leader. OPS in all probability will fall flat if asked to bow before Sasikala family. How can such a person lead a big state like Tamil Nadu. more
It must be said to the credit of OPS, that he has remained humble, quite calm n collected, discharging his duties as ch minister, amidst speculations that he wud be a puppet. Particularly in the context of jallikattu, a man of his responsibilities has to remain cool, weighing all considerations Of political comebacks at state level as well as centre. He is justifiably to remain even handed and maintain diplomatic Relations with centre and neighbouring states, in order to achieve best advantage for people of Tamilnadu. Remarkably he remains as a person of few words, not rash with his statements, avoiding outragious/aggressive remarks on others belonging to his party or opposition leaders. It is much likely that he would suceed in passing ordinance to lift ban on jallikattu thro' his cabinet fm state assembly which wd bring accolades pouring on him, lauded by everyone for being courageous. more
