Collective Inputs and Follow On Actions

Dear all:

In a recent meeting with all civic agency leaders of Delhi including Delhi police, DMRC, Municipal corporations, DDA, Jal Board, etc the Minister of Urban Development Shri Venkaiah Naidu read your inputs in the Garbage Management whitepaper to highlight the ground reality to all. That is how important collective citizen pulse is to the Ministry.

All the checklists produced by the circle (9 Civic Sense basics, How to use 2 hours of cleanliness, etc) are being made ready for mass distribution to civic agencies across urban India.

If you have additional subjects where you think mass awareness creation is needed, please suggest them by responding to this post.

We all know Swachh Bharat is not an easy objective. However, we do believe that if atleast every educated citizen of this nation did his bit in doing the right thing and creating awareness for those who may not be connected to such mediums, we will easily achieve the objective.

Do invite every one who you know to join the Swachh Bharat circle (visit LocalCircles, use invite code SWACHHBHARAT)

Together, let us achieve this dream by October 2'nd, 2019!

Storm water drains is something that needs attention in addition to the above. Not only do they add to the stench and filth in the surroundings, they are a breeding place of diseases and results in loss of lives in accidents almost every year. Moreover, open drains through prime areas of cities makes it less welcoming. Storm water drains should always be covered and underground drainage systems should be constructed to channel the sewage appropriately more
The matter is very sensitive and is ever taken very lightly at all levels. Only one thing can work: List of do's & don't do (punishable offence-to be implemented strictly) more
