As per a newspaper article only 30% Delhi students get admitted in Delhi colleges. The Delhi govt should at least double the number of seats in each college . It could increase seats in evening colleges so that the students who want to continue studies in whichever field they want can do so. We owe this to our young generation. Huge Delhi university campus are going waste. more
I Agree with above ideas. However, there should be a preference of 70% for Delhi students & 30% for outside Delhi student like Other states doing presently. As Delhi is not a NCT, anybody can come from any state and get admission. Alternatively, Delhi or Central Govt./UGC should consider to make new universities or discuss with existing good private universities in the Delhi NCRs (Like Sonepat/Gurgaon/Noida) for affiliation to bring them under Delhi University. more
MOST FOREIGN UNIVERSITY WORK FROM MORNING TO LATE EVENING, THUS MAKING FULL UTILIZATION OF THE INFRASTRUCTURE AND FACILITIES. IT IS VERY SAD THAT UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES IN INDIA MOSTLY RUN CLASSES IN THE PRE-LUNCH SESSION ONLY. THE VAST CAMPUSES ARE DESERTED IN THE AFTERNOONS. WE ARE A DEVELOPING COUNTRY WE CANNOT AFFORD THIS LUXURY. IT IS HIGH TIME THAT WE START USING THE UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES TO FULL CAPACITY AND RUN EVENING BATCHES ALL OVER TO ACCOMMODATE THE MAXIMUM OF THE STUDENTS. Start more colleges, provide additional batches, increase the total number of students in a class. Start new generation courses such as B Voc (Logistic Mgt), B Voc (Fashion Designing) etc to cope with the problem more
