I recently saw how some of the branded drinkable water containers are refilled and handled. can fssai please share criteria for drinkable water to get fssai certificate. Also, is there an mrp regulation that applies to these containers. i am talking about 20 litre bottles. Does the India's standards organisation has standards for this big bottled water. more

The 20 litre bottle supplied by a reputed supplier in Chennai had mosquito larvae. I complained and the local gentry collected my can promising to check and replace it. He never did. I had to remind him even to get a replacement for the empty can. Also the 20 litre bottle is unwieldy and difficult to lift for women and Senior Citizens. It is better if 10 litre bottles are marketed for ease of handling in residences and in offices. Also the weight is too much for the plastic dispensers for hot and cold water. L.Kalavathi Retd.
