Below are the common corruption chains identified by you. Kindly advise if there are any additional specific inputs you have on such corrupt chains. We wil then have a seperate discussion on solutions to break such chains.

Chains of Corruption
1. There is open corruption in land registrar office. The bribe is collected through advocates, deed writers, agent etc.
2. Traffic police takes bribes to let go of challans and the money is shared across the chain
3. Cash is collected at each of the major stations where contractors have to deposit their tribute in a locked box and this tribute is consolidated at GMs office & distributed right up to the top
4. DDA - The money gets distributed on monthly basis. Every person on his/her desk gets the money as "this month share"
5. Police Department get a lot of money especially in the high-crime areas or liquor selling areas
6. Bribe is asked for in the electricity department for installing new meters and the money is distributed right till the top
7. Central excise is such department. Inspector in range collects monthly bribe and shares with superintendent and others
8. The provident fund office at times takes bribes to release money and shares the amount of bribe across the vertical. more

Add to this the corruption is fed by the property owners in the urbanised villages in the NCR where police receives protection money regularly. This has resulted in harassment of the tenants who in the current capitalist economy with the suppression of the Rent Control Act have are looted right, left and the centre. Some solution lie in the promoting the application of the Rent Control Act. more

You have corruption in govt sector , but now days same is seen in private sector also,in EPC projects company who is awarded the contract give sub contract and corruption takes place (subcontractor & company employees very senior level officials are involved) Administrative officers give monthly contracts for photocopies/canteen/travel agents /printinh and make huge money thru this contractors.how this can be stopped more

Those who are at helm of affairs can certainly make a big difference by directly supervising functioning. The procedure, rules and requirement whether relevant or irrelevant are made cumbersome and complex. This is apart from several affidavits,undertakings ,indemnity and other papers binding the applicant. All these complexities give an open invitation to middleman to jump in fray. People who are supposed to be treated well as consumer of services are made to stand in queue for long hours in all govt. offices and state govt. offices and I'll treated by privately engaged security. All who own big position are never seen in any queue in India. more
