The municipalities are subcontracting services like garbage lifting .The garbage collectors are just taking the benifit of allotment of four wheeled garbage small trucks at subsidised rates. They pick only garbage from homes ,but refuse to lift the dry garbage from streets,around homes and public places like parks. The home owners cannot make compost pits .There is excessive tree branch cutting by electricity board, cable ,phone people.In December it is the falling leaves which is high volume .who is authorised to collect this green,dry garbage ? We have prevented garbage burning due to atmospheric pollution.Then it is the duty of municipalities to collect even this big volume either to make compost or incinerate or treat it for generation of electricity. I request the ministry of urban development and municipality to issue a directive that municipalities should take responsibility of clearance of this dry ,green garbage which house holders cannot handle. Taxes are paid for service but the citizens are constantly left helpless in spite of municipalities collecting huge amounts as taxes. more
