Companies not publishing MRP
Some companies like jaquar sanitaryware have stopped publishing MRP on their products after GST. That way the dealer can show whatever prices list and charge whatever they want.
Will the MRP officials raid such errant companies please and correct them. more

Even a grocery guy who repacks his groceries in to smaller packs do not mention the details . All such packed locally items are under weight.Thereisno random check from metrology. more

MRP,introduced ,has helped Manufacturers and the distributors and the dealers,much more than it helped consumers.Sorry to say that,until and unless we route out the corruptions we will not have a system which addresses the comfort of system.MRP is only being practiced in India and in Bangladesh. It is not being practiced any other countries.The forces of Competition,Quality,After Sales service,availability ,such factors govern the transactions.Every business entity pays tax,to the Government and they are pro customer. In my opinion,we should discontinue the practice of MRO and let market forces influence the business people for their operations and survival. more

Under the Weights and Measures (Packaged Commodities) Rules, the maximum retail price (MRP) should be printed on the package, if not lodge a complaint with the Weights, Measures And MRP Enforcement. Give them a copy of your cash receipt for proof. This will ensure that the manufacturer and retailers are prosecuted for violation of the law. It will also prevent them from fleecing other customers. more
