Compulsory registration of domestic help/drivers etc
It seems the labour ministry is coming up with a national policy for setting equitable salaries and providing fair employment terms, protection and social security for workers. The news says the the ministry plans to set up a central board/trust where employers will be required to register maids, drivers and all other household helps, who will be paid equally on the basis of the work they do.
Being in gurgaon where in a society we see more maids on some days than the residents, I suggest that the ministry consults the citizens before finalising any such policies.
Also, like to urge localcircles to form simple questions on the subject and get peoples feedback.
Anything done in isolation by the ministry will only lead to a non functional system as people will find a way of by passing it.
I also urge other members to share their views. more

Street vendors have to give Hafta to local Goondas, Police, Municipal authorities and survive in Heat, Dust, Rain and may get involved in accidents. From Child hood I am seeing them. Simple ability to survive in worst odds is keeping them alive. No one in the world cared for them any time. Still they are laughing and serving all of us. more
