Confusion in the spelling of my name
Hi, the spelling of my name goes with the way it is pronounced. Like in north India it is pronounced as "Dharamraj" while in other parts of India is it pronounced rightly as "Dharmaraj", which is my actual name.
Check the spellings. Both looks same while there is great difference when the official records are tallied. Luckily, my PAN card has the correct spelling, "Dharmaraj".
Now, can some one help me with any contact details of any PF officer, who can help me in getting my name corrected in the EPF records. ?
When I was working in North India my PF accounts have "Dharamraj" which is a wrong spelling, while currently I'm working in South India, the name mentioned is "Dharmaraj", which has resulted in two or multiple UAN numbers.

It is a very easy process to get your name corrected in the EPF records. All you have to give is a JOINT DECLARATION (by the Employee i.e. you and your EMPLOYER) to the concerned EPFO office showing the incorrect & correct name ALONG with the proof of correct name (Eg. PAN CARD / AADHAR card etc). Normally the change is effected in about two weeks which you can view in your next annual statement. I have done this in case of several of the employees before retirement.

Get your PF EPF contributions trasferred into your new account with the present emplyer by Applying in Form-13 ( R) . Once tranfer is affected the probelms gets resolved.

Thanks everyone for the inputs. But I have left the organisation in North and currently I'm in south India. Will my previous employers help me in getting the amendments done. I have to visit them in person and request them to do so, as they are quite old by now, speaking about 8 to 10yrs old connections. If by chance they refuse to do so, then is there any other way.
