With the Delhi Assembly elections in mind, Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal today addressed party workers in the Malviya Nagar constituency and laid emphasise on building organisation from the booth level.
In the meeting held late this evening, the AAP chief also asked the workers to intensify the party's activities and use the concept of 'Swaraj'.
"Since we are building the party from the booth level, Arvind (Kejriwal) emphasised on booth-level works which the party activists should undertake. He also asked party workers to connect with the people in a better way," AAP MLA from Malviya Nagar Somnath Bharti said.
"He also asked the volunteers to apologise to the people on behalf of him for quitting as the Delhi Chief Minister and to convince them to give the party one more chance," said an AAP volunteer who attended the meeting.
After its rout in the Lok Sabha elections, AAP has been focusing on strengthening the party organisation, right from the booth level.
In a volunteers' meeting held last month, Kejriwal had also emphasised popularising the concept of 'Swaraj' and had asked his MLAs to consult people on how to utilise development funds.

Asha Ji, der aya duresth aya. Before resignation I advised for setting aisde the idea of resignation but nobody paid attentation. Now AAP wants excuse. Let us hope. more

AAP must concentrate on showing its performance as a good & DIFFERENT opposition. A party with GOOD-DIFFERENCE. convince the public for SWARAJ concept. It is appreciable if MLA funds are being used as per demands of the public. GOOD GOING. Public may bless AAP again, if finds itself satisfied by its MLAs performance for correct SWARAJ. more

Dear Mr. Rahul I endorse your views. Arvind did no wrong in resigning as CM of Delhi. He has been doing every thing to bring a change so that we, the Indians, can live with our heads held high. Arvind has upheld the dignity of the position of CM. Regarding the dharna, Kiran Reddy and Nitish Kumar emulated him. Only thing to consider is that our actions are not discomforting to the public. We have to keep in mind that we can not please all. But what ever we do or talk should be in larger public interest. Connecting with people is important to let them understand your intent. more

Hi Asha, It's beyond my understanding why Arvind bhai is apologising for quitting as Delhi CM! We quit, YES , we did and we had reasons for it. We are ambitious, YES , we are and we are ambitious for the sake of the people. That's all. Unfortunately, the maturity level of the general public is not so high that they'd understand the reason for the apology. Let's not stoke it any further. The reason why Arvind bhai quit , is what is to be told. That's all. The people who are with us or are the fence sitters will understand. Those who are already alienated from the cause of AAP will just not understand. They will simply take the apology as more ammo against Arvind bhai. They can go and hop for all I care. The meaning of Swaraj, is what has to be told to the people. They call us nautanki, then let's do nukkad nataks and tell them how Kakistocracy is killing them and how swaraj will uplift them. For the cognoscenti, they have to be told how swaraj will be attained. How and what we are doing. Rather then highlighting issues, we have to bring a solution, and highlight it to the people. The media is a bitch, no doubt. But we need them. Let's not fight them. Let's have some cause for them too. And please, for godsake, lets stick to just a couple of things for the time being. Corruption is just one of them. more
