NHAI should plan the rainwater harvesting. Few thoughts
1. NHAI has lakhsof kilometers of State and National highways . Each road as a rain water drain
2. NHAI should plan to dig pits for every 100 meters on urgent basis
3. it will not only help ground water levels but also help to avoid flooding
4. the new projects should have this mandatory requirement.
5. This will also recharge the dead bore wells

Thisbhasvto start from desiltig and cleaning all water bodies and the water channelsbto them. These chsnnels need yearly cleaning. Encroachments must be totally removed. Huge potential for RWH and solar energy lies in railway stations, bus stsyiins, play grounds etc and they must be systematically done. Solar panel over the roof (often metal or asbestos) reduces heat below. Why not Corporates take over such work with an option for their advts in standard and prescribed size and format and a major share if the water thus saved. This will ensure monitoring against polluting and other misuse. more

Though Governments could not get back the grabbed land of Water Bodies and Drains and Streams ; now starting new formations and adherence to the Conditions of Water Harvesting Pits , Water Stagnating pits with special programs . The new A.P. Government with the Association of E.TV ; and Enadu news Papers took this vital important issue as their prime duty starting from the operation in Government Offices , institutions and sharing even with the public since WATER CANNOT BE INVENTED EXCEPT HAVING FROM THESE HARVESTING AND PRESERVING PITS . The Agriculturists are also being advised to adopt the olden system of carrying the requisite Water Preserving Tanks in their individual Land Extents . more

Our Govt should Give total concentration on River link project . In future Rain water becomes valuable as petrol for the world.For Rajasthan anual production of crud oil pipe line will be as equal with river water pipe line to our agricultural land. more
