Construction Standards
Are there any standards being followed by Construction and Real estate industry? I would be very thankful if any of the esteemed members of this group or BIS share the same with us? more

As a working professional in real estate, I am sorry to say that in real meaning construction company hardly give serious attention towards actual building skeletons (RCC members or others, in facts reports are manipulated and presented to authority) and other hidden works. They try to focus only on finishes like painting, plumbing, tiling and joinery appearances (not their body) and other activities which are visible to customer and they get attracted. Even in their project advertisement, the describe only cosmetic features, like club house, designer gate, swimming pool, gym, play area etc. As if people are buying club house. What is provided in the appt. Or house is hardly mentioned even the ceiling height in each room is refused by 2-3 feet so the heating effects is more. Next or just opposite kitchen, dining area they provide toilet, what a design.

Had they followed standards so many building collapse or fire incidences would not have occurred in our country, inspite of having NATIONAL BUILDING CODES, CALLED NBC GUIDELINE. Unless n until the builders n civic authorities Nexus is broken I'm true sense, there is no remedy. And people should also ask all the questions as explained here in number of posts. Though govt of India has implemented some regulations like RERA some improvements are there but still it's a herculean task. more
