Consumer courts
I am surprised that people still believe in going to consumer courts!! These are only an eye-wash to hood-wink the poor people. Why should the judge insists upon having lawyers to argue the case? This is the nexus between the government and the judiciary!! In cases where the complainant prefers to argue his case more effectively than the lawyers (after all the lawyers argue basing on your input) they must be encouraged. In your case, perhaps the judge and the lawyer is in collusion to cheat you. After all these lawyers work for money and they are not seriously interested to fight and get justice for you. I wonder many of them may not even know the laws themselves. My advise will be "do not enter courts". This is waste of your money. It is ok with politicians who have tons of money earned by any means from the public to employ high end lawyers to fight their cases from court to court. At the end of the day "there is no justice for the common man" Do not be fooled by your government. more

Never feel afraid as consumers have no choice to file complaint,if the judge is un coperative,file his complain to the CJI and see results unless the CJI is also involved then nothing can or will happen,but if not you will see the transfer of that consumer court judge. more

The first reaction is that it is true that we are being considered fools by the Government and a clinching evidence to this presumption is when a party president of the ruling Govt says that the promises made in the elections are "jumlas". Nothing else could be shameful for such a statement by the ruling party president. The situation as stated by you is more prevalent in other civic and criminal courts and we are just compelled to face it whether we like or not. The consumer forum is almost freely accessible without any cost but think of civil and criminal courts, it can turmoil/ ruin your and your family life if you are compelled to undergo such traumatic experience. Consumer Forum are much much better than any civil and criminal court and everyone is advised to take up the case without any fear. more

Lawyers and some judges are hand in glove relationship so any complainant fighting his own case will be at the receiving end. So after a few dates if you feel the judge not showing concern, ask for a court change or take extended date, till the judge is transferred more

yes a agree when one can efficiently able to argue then it should not be insisted to keep lawyer more

Basically it is to save the time, Efforts and money. Few People are taking disadvantage of the same are exception. Furthermore NOT all the Forums/Commissions are same, as quoted by you. Certainly there are some good as well. Else the cunning people can take further advantages as like you face. more
