Consumer Protection Act 1986
I would like to add the fol. in regard to amendment of Consumer Protection Act 1986.
1. Quality of goods should meet at least the average standard fixed by concerned authority like ISI.
2. There should be effective monitoring of the quality of goods in the market by such authorities on a regular basis to prevent duplicate and spurious or sub-standard items getting into the market to fool the consumers.
3. This would prevent national waste and sufferings of the unwary customers who are taken for a ride. more
