Whether the Central/Sate Govt Offices/Authorities are also classified as a firm or company? and those not getting services as per the Govt orders/principles as Consumer? under this category. If so, such consumers who fails to get justice from the Central/State govt authorities as per the orders of the Courts and Govt., are also entitled to project their problems/experiences with the authorities through this forum and such problems will also be taken up through the white paper with the Minister concerned?. more
It is an irony that the services offered by government is not perceived as something of high quality. When we think of services of government the top of the mind recall would be police, hospital, ration card, driving licence and passport The access to most of these services is so cumbersome and tout driven that it will be a long time before the common man of this country starts demanding a level of service from government which otherwise should have been a matter of right. With the outsourcing of passport services only the part of police verification is still a source of heartburn. However overall the passport delivery system is one of the services which is being appreciated. Similarly innovative delivery practices for other government services targeting at minimum human interface would atleast bring us to a point where citizens see themselves as consumers of government services. Hence I feel the first priority should be to propagate the belief in the citizens is that government services are a matter of consumer affairs and they should be concerned about the level of services as they are paying for it by way of taxes. more
It is good suggestion that consumers experiences shall be taken up with this forum/local circles before final submission to Govt/comcerned ministry or Dept G.K.Naidu, Hyderabad more
One would suggest that we keep govt services and private services in separate circles. The way things are dealt with differ widely and we may end up getting confused. more
