I hope you are right but the punishment may depend on age also to deactivate physically do not proceed such crime further. more
In respect of Women and Children safety, in my opinion India lacks the support from the Law which is encouraging people to commit crimes. Frankly speaking a normal citizen in India does not have a safe situation and there is no debate necessary for women and children separately. Hence our legal system should undergo a massive change. There are 2 parts of efforts required here. One is the laws should be amended suitably to bring the culprits under the jaws of the law and even capital punishments should become common in India. People will always fear about the sever punishment rather going to jail. It has become a symbol of proud going to jail as the next stage from jail is straight to politics/ministry. Second point is our judicial system should be cleaned up to make our lawyers/judges to be honest by bringing suitable legislation to punish them also in case of erring from their duty while protecting the interest of the nation. These points should be taken on urgent basis to minimise the more atrocities on citizens/women/children. more
