Corrupt and Unethical Builders

What can be done against the corrupt and unethical builders in this city. People who promise the moon in 2 years and don't even deliver a nightlamp. They pay big money to all newspapers so as to sponsor a supplement. Newspapers including TOI and HT don't write anything negative about them but instead publish articles on them that are essentially marketing material. They bribe everyone to get anything done.

We as citizens really need to come together and make these real estate moghuls and their companies to be more accountable and get them to deliver on time. more

Dear Friend! Good issue to discuss. In India, legal system does not work for Aam Admi (AA). The system is not helpful to him. This fact is very well researched, discussed and known to everyone including Builders, Regulators and  other concerned parties too. Similar issues of corruption in other form do exist in other fields like education, health, public services too. There is no exhaustive list.  I am not aware of any organization in the country working without any form of corruption - direct/indirect or visible/invisible. Would be greatful, if someone can share few names. Will salute the employees of the organization!  But we need to find out a sustainable solution for all kind of issues. We should form an permanent proactive institution in the form of an NGO with mandate and focus only on monitoring of the corrupt practices and practitioners in the country. We should find out the methods to expose such institutions and individuals with its own resources at large scale without depending on external sources. One of the method could be that NGO should have its strong mass media system including a Community Radio Station in Delhi. It should broadcast, discuss (evidence based matters) objectively, intensively and extensively on a 24X7 a week basis. The NGO may publish its newspaper and magazine too to inform and alert the citizen of the country. We need to get the honest and dedicated people together from all fields. The challenge is honest people do not come together due to their ideology, belief and other reasons but on the contrary, the dishonest and corrupt people become close friend just in one sitting and grow exponentially with more illegal resources and become more powerful than earlier and become more dangerous and harmful to honest and hard working people of the society. The current conditions also favour and support them.    Best regards, Mr Kamal Kumar Gaur On Tuesday, 25 February 2014 11:38 AM, Amit Mishra wrote: more
