As long as the import duties are high the scope for corruption will continue. The need is to reduce duties to a level which compels importers and the custom officials to not indulge in unlawful practices. This will also result in faster clearances and do away with corrupt practices at all stages. more

1.When police, Legal paternity and Government official says something against the public,it is taken for granted that they are only correct. But inmost day today happenings these agencies are at fault and favoring people who pay for them. It is the common people who suffer and become responsible for proving it 2. A person, may be history sheeter, heving criminal record, becomes elected representative, what ever he say only listened by police and other autorities 3.Like wise, any public complains about customs,police and other authorities shall be taken as truth. then to some extent the corruption will come down. more

The strength of staff in IB, CBI, RAW etc to be increased and closely monitor the Customs/Police personnel deployed at Airports. Intelligence should closely watch the functions like marriages etc performed of the kith and kins of such staff posted to attend to sensitive areas. If so there may be little improvement in this area. more

If we have honest FM who instills fear in bureaucracy and there is severe punishment for corrupt officials then only India can have corrupt free customs and excise. Till then everything will be on paper only. more

Super fast charges in indian railways Trains are labeled super fast and each passanger has to shell out charge for it unnecessarily. Look back at many super fast trains. They take nearly same time to reach the destination ten years back too. THEN WHY SUPERFAST CHARGES ? more
