Corruption in Indian Railways - Inputs on Solutions

That VIP quota breeds corruption is true. It is also because of the huge quantum of this quota. We can reduce it to bare minimum and lay down rules and priorities about the allotment of VIP quota. It's use to be restricted for official duty only and to be supported by official letter to that effect. In addition to this there should be deterrent punishment on detection of misuse and the onus of proving ones innocence to be on the official concerned. more
Patriots, to stop Corruption in Railway tickets Reservation, via VIP quota route, Please suggest to PM India via his website Pmindia.gov.in with the following: Please stop VIP quota in Railway tickets Reservation. It is anti Constitution & breeds Corruption, as tickets are sold by touts. VIPs may be required to pay for Premium Tatkal Railway Fare & it should be restricted to just AC 3 Tier only to avoid any inconvenience to people traveling in AC1st, AC 2 Tier & 3 Tier sleeper coaches. Tatkal Premium fare for AC 3 Tier should be equal to AC 1st class fares. Stop cheating on innocent citizens now & give just treatment to rail passengers by stopping VIP QUOTA SYSTEM finally at least from today. Fits well with PM Modi Ji's promise, "Na Kaunga, Na Khane Dunga" more
I am giving you all a number. Next time, you are travelling in any train and face any problem. Just draft a Complaint SMS with details like train no., bogie number and your PNR no. on your mobile phone and send to 08121281212. Immediately you will receive an acknowledgement and after a few while, the TTE in your bogie will receive a call. Try it. Another no. 1322 is all India Helpline Number of Railways. Try calling it also. Please lodge complaint whenever you feel the services are not up-to-the-mark. Don't just leave it. Raise your voice. Save both numbers in your mobile. more
No system can change or improve unless the individuals concerned are made accountable and SEVERE instant action taken against the defaulters. Staff should be motivated and fear infused in to them. They should be made to realize that they are employed by the travelling public and they are servants of passengers..not govt nor railways. They are afraid of only the political VIPs now and then travelling in the trains. They should have the same fear of passengers too. Passengers should be empowered to act for short falls in the passenger services more
